Christians today will be marking Palm Sunday commemorating Jesus' Triumphal entry into Jerusalem in the days before his Passion.
In many Christian churches Palm Sunday is marked by the distribution of palm leaves to the assembled worshipers with special sermons, dramas and reciting of bible verses by the children who will be dressed in white.
Methodist Church of Fiji Assistant General Secretary Reverand Tevita Nawadra said it is important to learn from the meaning of Palm Sunday.
Easter will be celebrated next week beginning on Friday the 22nd.
