As part of Government’s intention of raising development in the rural divisions and outer-lying islands, Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama will visit Fiji’s south island province of Kadavu this week.

Commodore Bainimarama said rural development is a must and his administration will ensure that development is taken to the people that need it most.

He added that he will see that these people are provided the same developments government has provided to those in the urban areas.

The Prime Minister will tour the various district leading off with Buliya, Narikoso, Vabea and Ono before journeying further to the mainland districts.

He will inspect several government projects ranging from food security programmes, seaweed and dalo projects to basic infrastructural developments.

He will also open the new Vunisea Jetty on Kadavu.
