The Fiji Correctional Services is now training its Prison Officers on ways to identify if an inmate is depressed and needs assistance.
This is after three prisoners committed suicide in our prisons between March and July this year.
Spokesperson, Josefa Matau said that they will also arrange sessions with the Psychologists and Sentencing Planning Team for inmates who look depressed.
