Courts IDC Champions, Labasa soccer team is going through a hard time preparing for this week’s Pillays Garments Champions League.
Labasa has already lost quality players like Maciu Dunadamu, Taniela Waqa and Pita Bolaitoga to Papua New Guineas Hekari United while other top players are not showing up for training.
Top defender, Samuela Kautoga is also reported not to be training with the team.
The problem does not end here for the Babasiga Lions.
Coach, Gurjeet Singh who returned from USA couple of days ago wants to meet team President, Ajesh Sharma to iron out some issues after which he will train the players.
Singh said there is no serious approach being taken to start preparations for the Champions league.
The first match of the Pillay’s Garments Champions League kicks off 5pm this Friday at Ratu Cakobau Park between Ba and Suva.
At 7pm, defending champions Rewa takes on Labasa.
