The return of playmaker Metuisela Talebula into the Digicel Fiji Sevens team 20-member squad will boost that position ahead of the Uprising Fiji International Sevens.
Talebula played a key role in the Fiji Sevens team that played in the England and Scotland Sevens last year but missed the first leg of the IRB Sevens Series as he was away in France.
Now the former Fiji Under 20 rep is one of the leading candidates to don the playmaker’s jersey with Livai Ikanikoda who is likely to recover from the injury he received in Dubai.
With Joeli Lutumailagi and Miti Nacagilevu not in the squad, expectations are for Talebula to step up and take charge.
The Fiji Sevens team will march into camp tomorrow to prepare for the Uprising Fiji Sevens on the 20th and 21st of this month.
