Three people who allegedly raped a tourist in Rakiraki last month have chosen to represent themselves.
The three made their first appearance in the Lautoka High Court today.
20-year-old Pita Natekuru is charged with aggravated burglary, theft and rape while 30-year-old Ilaitia Nalawa and 31-year-old Jale Fatiaki are charged with aggravated burglary and theft.
It is alleged that the three robbed a couple who were in their room around 11pm on the 10th of last month where it is also alleged that Pita Natekuru raped the woman.
The three are expected to reappear in court on the 29th of this month.
