A 57-year-old engineer who is alleged to have caused an accident which claimed the life of an 18-year-old woman in Sigatoka last month is expected to take his plea later this month.
Rocky Giri charged with one count of occasioning death by dangerous driving appeared in the Sigatoka Magistrates Court.
The case will be called on the 16th of this month.
The incident occurred at Bulu Bridge, Malevu, Queens Road in Sigatoka two weeks ago where it is alleged that the driver failed to negotiate a bend and collided head on with another vehicle driven by a 52-year-old.
18-year-old female and three other family members were traveling from Nadi to Sigatoka when the incident occurred.
