Attorney General and Minister for Communications Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum has made a call to the participants of the Pacific Island Telecommunications Association Next Generation Networks Forum to be transparent in their work.
While speaking at the forum at GPH in Suva, Sayed-Khaiyum said that they will get many companies that will try and lure them into using their technology.
He says this means they have to be very clear and have a transparent regulatory framework where there is absence of corruption.
Sayed-Khaiyum says it is important to have transparency and as a government they have to ensure that they get the service providers to all areas.
He says the Ministry of Education is currently trying to get tablets and other electronic devices to school children but those electronic devices will mean nothing if schools in the rural areas do not have network.
