The 25 Police officers and 12 Corrections Service officers that recaptured escapee, Deshwar Kishore Dutt have been acknowledged for their actions by Police Chief of Operations ACP Rusiate Tudravu.
Tudravu told the officers to create their own legacy while visiting them in the Western Division.
He said the officers spent sleepless nights and didn’t have proper meals but that was the nature of their work.
Tudravu who has spent 30 years in the Fiji Police Force says when he will retire this year he will take back with him many memorable stories to tell his family and friends.
He says that will be the legacy that he will leave behind.
