High Court Judge Justice Thushara Rajasinghe has convicted a 34-year-old man of a count each of rape and sexual assault.

The security officer raped and sexually assaulted his 4-year-old sister on 10th September last year in Samabula.

All three assessors had also found the 34-year-old man guilty of rape and sexual assault.

The man has been remanded in custody and will be sentenced tomorrow at 11.30am.
