The Fiji Roads Authority has confirmed that the roads which have deteriorated due to the recent heavy downpour, are currently being worked on.
The contractor hired for road maintenance is already working on site to carry out temporary maintenance works.
They will undertake permanent works once the weather clears.
Large potholes have been created which have become an inconvenience for both motorists and pedestrians alike.
The FRA also has plans to carry out adjustments of manhole covers on the main road at Rewa Street junction on the Suva bound lane and also at the Waimanu Road junction.
The work is planned to start this Saturday the 2nd and Sunday the 3rd of June from 9am until 7pm in the afternoon.
During these works the intersection will be operational with only one lane opened for public use.
