Rewa soccer goalkeeper Benito Waqavou faces an immense challenge as he gets ready to play for the Delta Tigers in the semis of the Vodafone Fiji FACT.
24-year-old Waqavou who is a former student of Nasinu Muslim College has never been Rewa’s top choice goalkeeper in past tournaments and for the first time he now gets an opportunity to play in the semis.
Waqavou says he’s comfortable and is sure Rewa will perform well in the semis and is also hopeful that the Delta Tigers will be able to defend their title.
Waqavou is yet to concede a goal in the Fiji FACT as Rewa beat Ba 1-nil and drew 0-0 with Dreketi. The Delta Tigers got walloped 4-0 by Labasa in the last group match however, Epeli Loaniceva played as Rewa’s goalkeeper.
Labasa will play Nadi at 2pm and Rewa will face Lautoka at 4pm this Saturday in the semi-finals of the Vodafone Fiji FACT at Ratu Cakobau Park.
The final will be played at 2.30pm on Sunday.
