The Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s team has won their first pool match of the London 7s with a hard fought 28-19 win over Argentina.
Fiji crossed over with four tries from Vatemo Ravouvou, Sevuloni Mocenacagi, Waisea Nacuqu and Amenoni Nasilasila.
Argentina gave Fiji an early fright with their first try and manage to contain Fiji’s offloading game.
Fiji was leading 14-12 in the first half.
Argentina came back strongly in the second half with a quick try to take the lead to 19-14.
Semi Radradra and Josua Tuisova came into the second half and were solid in defence.
Fiji is now take on Scotland at 1.26am tomorrow before facing New Zealand at 4.32am.
The cup quarterfinals will start at 9.58pm tomorrow while the cup semifinals will kick off at 1.48am next Monday.
The cup final is at 4.57am next Monday.
