The alleged owner of the yacht in which hard drugs, arms and ammunition were found during a joint drug raid last Friday at the Denarau Marina, has been remanded in custody and the matter has been transferred to the Lautoka High Court.
Australian national, Yvette Dianne Nikolic appeared in the Nadi Magistrates Court.
Nikolic has been charged with one count of unlawful importation of illicit drugs, one count of unlawful possession of illicit drugs and one count of failure to declare arms and ammunition to a customs officer.
It is alleged that Nikolic with another person imported 12.9 kilograms of cocaine and 34.4 grams of methamphetamine and cocaine tablets.
It is also alleged that Nikolic with another person failed to declare arms and ammunition to a customs officer whilst arriving into the Denarau Marina in a yacht last Friday.
She will appear in the Lautoka High Court on the 4th of July.
Police say four people were initially taken into custody while a fifth suspect, a 45-year-old Australian man was rushed to the Lautoka Hospital where he is still admitted in critical condition after he had allegedly consumed an unknown substance during the raid.
The other three have been questioned and released.
13 bars of cocaine and tablets with an estimated value of USD$10 to USD$15 million was seized by the authorities.
It is also confirmed that US$15,000 in undeclared currency, guns and ammunition were also found in the yacht.
