Police are yet to determine whether the case of the two sisters aged 6 years and 3 years who drowned this month, will be treated as negligence.

The bodies of the two girls were found floating in a creek in Cunningham on the 9th of this month.

Police say the two went swimming in a nearby creek beside their house with their brother when the incident occurred.

They were found by the woman who was looking after them.

In another case, the body of a 3-year-old boy was recovered a day after he had gone missing while playing near the Sigatoka River bank on the 18th of this month.

Police say the victim had accompanied his father and two relatives out fishing when he went missing.

So far, there are 5 confirmed cases of drowning for November.

A total of 33 Fijian lives have been lost to drowning so far this year, and nine of the victims were below the age of 10 years.
