Forty two teams will be participating in the 2019 Fiji Coral Coast Sevens Tournament.

Tournament Director Jay Whyte says that 16 men’s, 10 women’s and 16 youth teams have confirmed their team registrations.

With McDonalds Fiji today giving a sponsorship of $50,000 towards the tournament, Whyte says that they are thankful to have McDonalds come onboard this year in helping support the development of local rugby.

Overseas teams confirmed to take part include Aussie Men’s, Hong Kong Men and Hong Kong Women's.

Whyte adds that former Springboks wing Bryan Habana will be the Chief Guest.

Habana will be visiting Fiji with his family for the first time and fans can expect to meet him at the tournament.

The four day event is expected to start on the 16th to the 19th of January next year.
