So much has been said about the majority in victory following the general elections and the opposition seems to be obsessed with the percentage of votes that FijiFirst received.
This was highlighted by the Minister for Lands and Mineral Resources Ashneel Sudhakar while responding to the President, Jioji Konrote’s opening speech.
Sudhakar also stated in parliament that there is a clear difference between the Prime Minister and the Leader of Opposition adding that this difference is clearly evident in the results of the votes.
Sudhakar also responded to the National Federation Party Leader Professor Biman Prasad who had said about forgetting the 1987 and 2000 coups adding that those who do not learn from one’s history are condemned to repeat it.
Meanwhile, Sudhakar has also highlighted that the Ministry for Lands and Mineral Resources is reviewing the core legislation and policies to better guide operations that are intended to ensure better management of state natural resources that the Ministry administers for the benefit of all stakeholders and for the protection of the environment.
