Expect the very best of former All Black and Blues recruit Ma'a Nonu, warns assistant coach Tom Coventry as Super Rugby draws ever nearer.
36-year-old Nonu has returned from France ahead of the new Super Rugby season, linking up with the Blues for a third stint. He previously played for the Auckland side in both the 2012 and 2014 seasons.
Speaking to NZ Herald, Coventry warns that Nonu could be about to deliver some career best form, should his displays in pre‑season training be anything to go by.
The Blues begin their 2019 Super Rugby campaign against the defending champions, the Crusaders, at Eden Park at 7.35pm on 16th of next month.
