Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s team player Meli Derenalagi could get a citation if he gets another yellow card in the Vancouver 7s this weekend.
Derenalagi has already received five yellow cards in the last five tournaments and if he gets another yellow card this weekend he could get suspended for three games.
With some of the players injured in the previous leg, this will prove a hard challenge as they try to defend their title in Vancouver.
Fiji will play Kenya in their first pool match of the Vancouver 7s at 5.36am Sunday, they will then take on Canada at 9.08am Sunday and face Samoa in their last pool game at 1.02pm Sunday.
The Cup quarterfinals will start at 6.08am next Monday, Cup semifinals start at 10.08am next Monday and the Cup final will kick off at 1.19pm next Monday.
USA currently leads the series standings with 98 points, New Zealand is in second place with 93 points while Fiji is third with 84 points.
