The Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Civil Service Bernadette Welch says that as of yesterday, 2000 people from 80 different countries have registered to be part of the Asian Development Bank Annual meeting next week.
In an interview with Fijivillage, Welch says registrations were opened in December and she expects more registrations next week.
Most of the people that are expected to be part of the meeting will be Finance Ministers of countries or Central Bank Governors’.
Fiji is the first Pacific Island nation state to host such a conference.
Welch says that Fiji is ready to host the event and that Fijians would be proud.
The meetings will be held at Sofitel, Sheraton, Westin and Intercontinental.
