Fiji Revenue and Customs Service CEO Visvanath Das has clarified that online registration for tax returns is not mandatory at the moment and people can still do manual registration.
This is after the first phase of the new Tax Payer System was launched on the 4th of this month.
He says his team is available at their customer service centres to assist the taxpayers as well as going to their business premises to provide assistance.
Das also says that for the November returns that are due in December and December returns that will be due in January, FRCS will not apply late lodgement penalties.
