A bench warrant has been issued against two police officers and five police witnesses who failed to appear in the Suva Magistrates Court this morning to give evidence in an attempted rape case.
Magistrate Janaka Bandara issued bench warrants after the Police Prosecutor informed the court, that summons were issued, and the victim along with the witnesses gave no reason why they were not able to attend the case today.
Only three police witnesses appeared in court today.
The alleged incident took place in October last year and the case has been adjourned till 20th January next year.
