A 31-year-old German national today pleaded guilty to one count of exporting endangered and protected species without a permit.
Lautoka Magistrate Sujiwa Nish Shanka was told that last Saturday, 3rd December, upon information, Dirk Vender was searched at the Nadi International Airport bound for Hong Kong when an iguana was found in his bag wrapped in a wet cloth.
Vender has been remanded in custody and will be sentenced tomorrow.
