The United States does not always agree with their friends, or expect their agreement with them on every point of policy.
While speaking during the AG’s Conference, United States Ambassador Frankie Reed said while the United States and Fiji have differences based on Fiji’s loss of its elected government and constitution, she understands from her previous work in the Pacific, the importance of inclusive consultations and mutual respect.
Reed added that the United States, like all democracies, is not perfect and still is evolving.
She added her country’s journey towards liberty and justice has been long, difficult and messy, but they continue to make important progress.
