A severe flood warning is now in force for major rivers, streams and the low lying areas.
A strong wind warning still remains in force for the land areas of the Fiji group.
Expect severe flooding of major rivers, streams and low lying areas.
Nadi weather office director Alipate Waqaicelua said the Nadi River burst its banks earlier today and water is pushing into many parts of Nadi.
On the weather situation:
Another tropical depression is now in the Fiji group which is bringing more rain and now there is confirmation that a third tropical depression is also coming which is expected to form into a tropical cyclone.
This means that we will get more rain and strong winds going into this afternoon, tonight and tomorrow.
More rain today will keep river levels high and flooding is also a risk in the Central and Northern region.
Stay away from flood waters.
Be prepared for the adverse weather conditions.
