The school roll at the Lami High school has improved following the warning by the Education Minister Filipe Bole that the school will be closed if the roll does not improve soon.
Bole made the comments two weeks ago when he visited the school two weeks ago.
During the visit, only 60 students had enrolled at the school and according to the Education Ministry, Bole was angry to see the lax attitude of parents and the school stakeholders in enrolling their students late.
The Education Ministry and the Lami High School management confirmed that the school roll has improved.
According to the school management more than 300 students have enrolled at the school.
Meanwhile, district education officers are expected to continue monitoring school rolls around the country.
