The family of 18 year old student Lawrence Anthony have welcomed the Health Minister's order for an investigation in relation to the death of their son, who passed away at the CWM Hospital last Wednesday.
His father Anand Lal Anthony said he really wants to know what caused his son’s death.
Lawrence Anthony who was a form seven student was rushed to the CWM hospital on last Monday after he was found unconscious by his parents.
His father Anand Lal Anthony had earlier told Fijivillage that different doctors had given him different reasons for the condition of his son.
Anthony went to pick up his son's death certificate on Thursday and he was told that there was bleeding in his son’s lungs.
However, he said the doctors were not able to tell him why it had happened.
He is expected to meet the Health Minister tomorrow.
Health Minister Dr, Neil Sharma said he has directed hospital staff to provide a full explanation of what had happened and will relay this to the family personally once the investigation is completed.
He said that the family deserves an explanation.
Lawrence Anthony's funeral will be held today.
