A juvenile charged with burglary and theft and a 25-year-old taxi driver, Simon Peter of Pritam Singh Road 8 miles charged with receiving stolen property have been released on bail.
It is alleged that the juvenile stole the laptop from the residence of the IT team leader of the Elections Office sometime between the 7th and the 10th of February.
It is also alleged that the juvenile sold the laptop to a 33-year-old taxi driver who later sold it to Simon Peter.
The IT officer discovered the laptop missing on the 10th of February when she was about to go to work.
The matter was then reported to the police and after investigations the juvenile and the taxi driver were arrested and charged.
The juvenile has been released on $1,000 bail with surety and has been ordered to report to the Nasinu Police Station every Sunday.
The case has been adjourned to 15th April.
