Navua hospital remains closed till further notice.

That is the confirmation from the Ministry of Health however the health services for emergency cases have now been shifted to Ro Matanitobua House in Navua.

Firefighters have started to clean up the Navua Hospital which was affected by flood waters yesterday.

The staff and patients at the Navua hospital had to vacate the ground floor and were operating from the second floor when the Navua river had burst its bank yesterday afternoon.

The Serua Provincial Council confirmed access to Navua is now open as flood waters have receded.

However, a number of areas are still without power and water supply.
