A severe flood warning is now in force for major rivers, streams and low lying areas in the western division.
A strong wind warning still remains in force for the land areas of the Fiji group.
A weakening tropical depression was located to the far south southwest of Nadi at 8am today.
Associated active trough of low pressure continues to affect the group.
Forecast to midnight tonight for the Fiji group:
Severe flooding of major rivers, streams and low lying areas in the Western Division.
Elsewhere, flooding of low lying areas.
Strong north to northwest winds with average speeds of 40 to 55 km/hr with momentary gust to 85 km/hr.
Further periods of rain, heavy at times and squally thunderstorms.
