At least 10 Police Officers playing rugby for the Namosi Rugby team assisted in the capture of 2 robbers who ran away with around $30,000 cash in Pacific Harbour yesterday.
Speaking to Fijivillage, Director Operations of Veejay Enterprises, Shaneel Sami praised the police force for their quick response yesterday which helped them to recover around $28,000.
Sami said at around 11.30am yesterday he was on his way to the bank when two people got away with $30,000.
He said he called the Navua police who were quick to respond.
Shaneel Sami sustained some minor injuries from the confrontation.
Meanwhile, police spokesperson, Atunaisa Sokomuri confirmed that two people have been arrested and are now being questioned by police.
