39-year-old security officer Josua Colanaudolu, who has been charged in relation to the rape and murder of the 14-year-old girl in Deuba, appeared in the Navua Magistrates Court earlier today.

Colanaudolu has been charged with 2 counts of rape, 1 count of murder and 1 count of abduction.

He has also been charged for allegedly raping a 13-year-old girl in 1998 and a 16-year-old girl in 2002.

No plea was taken and the case has been transferred to the Suva High Court.

Colanaudolu said in court that he wants to represent himself in the case.

The case will be called in the High Court on the 13th of April.

Colanaudolu also appeared in the Suva Magistrates Court last week for allegedly raping a 16-year-old girl in Deuba two years ago.

This case will be called in the Suva High Court tomorrow.
