A container truck toppled over a car near the Edinburgh Road and Walu Bay roundabout in the last hour.
The truck almost flattened the car.
Police and National Fire Authority officers are currently at the scene.
Our reporters on the ground confirm that NFA officers managed to lift the container off the car with a crane.
They then cut open the car to remove the driver of the vehicle.
A passenger in the car was also rescued earlier.
The car driver and passenger have suffered some injuries but they are still conscious.
They are being rushed to the hospital.
The condition of the container truck driver is unknown.
Almost 1,000 people are gathered around the accident scene.
Motorists are advised that there is a huge traffic jam coming into Suva from Edinburgh Drive and Walu Bay.
