The Suva-Nausori Corridor is reduced to two lanes for the next three days to allow the completion of water relocation connections to the Kalabu reservoir.

Fiji Roads Authority's Programme Manager for the Nadi and Suva Road Upgrading Project, Zaina Khan says the pipes are located under Kings Road and work is being carried out by China Railway First Group in co-ordination with the Water Authority of Fiji.

She says two-lane priority may be given to prevailing heavy traffic over the next three days to ease movement of the peak time flows.

Khan said the lane restriction is in place to protect the multiple teams that will be working on the pipe connections.

FRA is advising drivers to slow down as indicated by the temporary traffic signs, follow the instructions of the site traffic personnel, and pay attention while driving along Kings Road between Caqiri Road and Pilling Road.

This work is part of the significant water utility relocations.
