The partner of one of the remand prisoners who had escaped last week, has been produced in the Suva Magistrates Court for her alleged involvement in harboring her partner.
Oli Wati Seru has been charged with one count of inciting and harboring remand prisoners Jonacani Qalova and Maika Tovagone.
It is alleged that when police had raided the 26 year old woman's house in Vugalei, Lami they arrested remand prisoner Jonacani Qalova who was sleeping with the accused.
It is alleged Qalova had approached Seru on the 29th of last month and requested to spend the night with her but she did not alert anyone or call the authorities.
It is also alleged that in her caution interview Seru has said Qalova was her partner and that the other prisoner was arrested from the same settlement but not from her house.
Seru has been remanded in custody and will take her plea on the 17th of this month.
