Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata has joined Spanish club Atletico Madrid on loan until the end of the 2019‑20 season.

26‑year‑old Morata joined Chelsea from Real Madrid in July 2017 for a fee of 60 million pounds. This was a five year contract.

He has made 47 English Premier League appearances for Chelsea, scoring 16 times.

Chelsea will take on Manchester City in the final of the Carabao Cup on the 25th of next month at 4.30am.
