The principles of good governance that include transparency, responsiveness, efficiency, and accountability need to be upheld in all aspects of work within the Fiji Mahogany Trust Board.
This was highlighted by the Acting Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of iTaukei Affairs Meleti Bainimarama while officiating at the Fiji Mahogany Trust Board training workshop at Nadave today.
Bainimarama highlighted to the participants that service delivery is crucial in any line of work especially during these challenging times.
The two day workshop is being attended by the 14 Mahogany Station Council Representatives and Executive Managements from both the Fiji Mahogany Trust Board and the commercial unit of the iTaukei affairs Board.
Bainimarama also reiterated the importance of Fiji's natural resources and the roles of the 14 station representatives play with indigenous landowners and encouraged for more consultations between landowners and stakeholders.
Bainimarama also touched on Fiji's National development Plan with the vision of transforming Fiji that will eventually map out the way forward for Fiji and all Fijians to realize our full potential as a nation in every sector.
