A 46-year-old, carpenter died in a house fire in Manoca, Nausori last night.

The man was trapped inside his room.

The two bedroom house was not insured.

It is unclear at this stage as to how the fire started as officers from the Nausori CID are carrying out an investigation.

The fire started around 8 last night.
